The space is cosy and intimate, ideal for solo visits or a quick catch-up with a friend. That said, the seating is on the smaller side, so if you’re in a larger group, it might feel a bit tight. But when it comes to quality, this café sets the bar. The coffee here is the kind that stays with you—rich, aromatic, and expertly crafted. It’s a place that truly respects the art of coffee-making, and once you’ve had a cup here, it’s hard to go back to anything else. A must-visit for anyone serious about their brew.

Excellent coffee! I had a hot mocha latte with macadamia nut milk and absolutely loved it! They offer cups and mugs, too, if you prefer a dine-in cup. Great service, too!

It’s the kind of playlist that makes you want to sip slow and soak it in like you’re the main character. Meanwhile, the banter from the boys? Absolutely straight fire—you’re getting roasted in all the right ways, both by the beans and the team. And let’s not forget the barista, who’s clearly on a hero’s journey to master swan latte art—one cup at a time. The foam may still be finding its form, but the ambition? Michelangelo would weep. $6.20 seems a lot to pay for a 5oz almond latte, but it’s a small price to pay for piece of mind. When the coffee is good, and the service is good, and the staff friendly and welcoming, feels like a value for money proposition. Recommended.

I have been going to Foster and Black for 6 years now and I will continue to for as long as I can. The team across all stores are always genuinely so kind and go out of their way to provide an outstanding experience for all their customers, not just the regulars. The current consistent Chermside team with people like Claire, Jono, Jared etc. never fail to brighten my day or put a smile on my face if it’s been a rough one. I know that I will always leave Foster with more than just a great cup of coffee no matter what location I’m at. Foster will always be my first recommendation for anyone searching for a good go to

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Happy 10th Birthday, Foster & Black! Today marks a whole decade of exceptional coffee, warm smiles, and the kind of atmosphere that keeps me coming back. To celebrate their 10th birthday, Foster & Black were giving out free matchboxes so I decided to spell out their name in matchsticks to mark the occasion (see photo ). Every cup here is brewed with care, every visit feels like catching up with an old friend, and the quality never wavers.
